Great Ocean Road Coastal Escape
A 7-day self-drive route featuring twelve apostles at sunrise and more.
This 10-day, 1,250km campervan loop starts and ends in Hobart, tracing Tasmania’s east coast up to Freycinet National Park and the Bay of Fires before swinging inland through Launceston to Cradle Mountain and back. Allow time for scenic stops, short walks and relaxed overnight stays rather than rushing between destinations.
The loop combines memorable scenery — Wineglass Bay, the orange granite of the Bay of Fires, Dove Lake beneath Cradle Mountain — with useful towns for fuel, groceries and overnight facilities along the way. Always check current road conditions, campsite rules and seasonal closures before travelling.
